CEO Lunch with Ian Watmore - CANCELLED
This event has been cancelled
TAF would like to invite you to a Luncheon with Ian Watmore, Permanent Secretary in the Cabinet Office and the Government’s Chief Operating Officer.
Ian oversees the implementation of the Government’s Efficiency and Reform agenda, working under Francis Maude, the Minister for the Cabinet Office, and Danny Alexander, Chief Secretary to the Treasury. The Efficiency and Reform Group (ERG) has a lead role in the central government's efficiency drive, placing an emphasis on joint working and raising standards.
After a twenty four year career in IT and consulting, including a period as UK Managing Director of Accenture, Ian worked at Number 10 directly under Tony Blair as the head of the Prime Minister’s Delivery Unit, and in the Cabinet Office as the Government’s Chief Information Officer.
In 2009 Ian took a year’s break from the civil service to become Chief Executive of the Football Association. Here he focused on the grass roots of football development, women’s football, and the creation of an internet FATV channel.
TAF CEO Luncheons are informal events (held under the Chatham House Rule) for the CEOs of trade associations. The aim of these lunches is to allow associations to share opinions on various policy and best practice issues and to raise topics of concern with leading opinion formers. To get the most out of these meetings, the lunches are held in private dining rooms in Central London with the number of guests limited to 20.
Price: £90 + VAT
